Peter Hair, P.Eng.
Principal
Peter Hair is a professional engineer with extensive experience spanning construction, design, utility operations, and municipal infrastructure management. With a strong foundation in both engineering and management, he brings a practical, value‑focused approach to solving complex water and wastewater challenges.
Before founding One Water Engineering, Peter Hair served as Division Manager for Metro Vancouver’s Sewer and Drainage Technical Services, where he led engineering and technical teams responsible for major regional sewer infrastructure. His prior roles include project engineering and field leadership positions with Metro Vancouver, WSP and CPB Contractors, giving him hands‑on experience in the full project lifecycle—from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and operations.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, and a Professional MBA from the University of British Columbia. He is a registered Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
He brings a practical mindset, strong technical and asset management expertise, and a passion for continuous improvement—helping clients navigate challenges, reduce risk, and achieve durable, high‑value outcomes.
